FWD Financial Centre is one of a handful of Grade A properties in close proximity to the Sheung Wan MTR. Together with Infinitus Plaza, they represent two modern office developments that are currently still under single landlord ownership. Often this is preferred by multinational corporate tenants seeking multi-floor occupation, given the consistant management of lease structures within the property. It is also worth noting that the property was put on sale in 2018, but ultimately did not change ownership. Nearby, 181 QRC and neighbouring COSCO Tower are additional options, though both are under strata-title ownership.
Overall, FWD Financial Centre represents good value that finds little competition for its location, modern infrastructure (the lobby was renovated in 2020), floor to ceiling windows and harbour view for many of its office units. The property also accomodated well for SMES and starts ups who require minimal space with plans for growth. The landlord is willing to carve up small spaces to cater for smaller occupiers.
FWD, an insurance company, is an anchor tenant, with a relatively high traffic of staff members in and out for the property during lunch hours. Lift access may be an issue for some tenants.
The property is a few minutes walk from the Sheung Wan MTR station. There is, however, no dedicated drop off area.
